Wow. I just yelped reading that. Sorry. :(
I get so irritated when I hear about nurses like this who have no idea what they're doing... and the worst and most common incidents always have to occur with them giving needles. It's scary enough for some people as it is! That really sucks, hope you're feeling okay! By the way, good on you for giving blood! It's a great cause, so hopefully, this won't discourage you or too many others from continuing it in the future.
I know your pain. I recently had a hospital visit where they have to put in a site and take labs, not only did they blow out my vein leaving me with a ping pong sized lump, but she then proceded to take four vials of blood out of the already blown out vein and put another site in right next to it.
how do you know it was a nurse? 99% of the time the people who take blood are phlebotomists, NOT nurses. i'm glad you gave blood, but don't assume that because this person missed they are inexperienced. lots of people have shitty veins that are hard to stick and are very challenging no matter how long they've been doing it.
This is the worst thing ever. FYL.

OH! Man, I hope you're ok. How the hell do you mistake a tendon for a vein? Veins are clearly a very different color from tendons. If you have dark skin or your veins aren't that visible then I can understand a bit better. Like I said, I hope you're ok and you don't have to go through something like this again. Hope this doesn't stop you from donating blood again in the future. Try asking for a more experienced nurse next time. I believe you can do that in most places.
your so vein (joke, for any of you idiots that'll see it and immediately critique every part of this)
