Today, I called my mother to check up on her. Lately, she's been having some financial problems, so last week I sent her my last $100 to help her out until her next paycheck. She used the money to euthanize the family dog. FML

#137, false. if you want them to euthanize your dog, they will. they'll suggest adoption first but it's the owners right. NOT that I agree.

Well, if the dog was in pain (that couldn't be remedied by standard treatment), it would be rather selfish of the OP to insist on keeping it alive and in pain just so she could enjoy its company...
