Its people like that that are perpetuating racism. They're giving too much power to words. "Black" is not an offensive word. Now, I'm not going to go around dropping the N-bomb, but we have to stop giving words that much power! Thats why I don't get offended when the rednecks around here use words like "dyke" or "rugmuncher". Its just words. I won't allow it to hurt me.
I heard someone on the radio, referring to people of African descent but living in New Zealand. This radio personality was trying to be politically correct and referred to them as African-Americans.. in New Zealand.. I think we are taking this politically correct thing a little too far- I don't know what blacks, Africans, African Americans, minority, etc people want to be called, but damn lets figure that out and roll with it..
It's kind of like there is a Mexican person, a black person, and a white person. Mexican person: I am proud of my culture! Everyone: I'm so glad! Black person; I'm so glad to be black. Everyone: great thing! White person: I'm so glad to be white! Everyone: shut up you racist ****.
Don't tell me what to do, mother.

Where the hell do you live?? It's the same thing...
that's just stupid, if you are born here, YOU are not "African-American", you're american. you'd be considered american with african ancestry. people these days want to label everything.
