Today, Hopelessly unemployed, came out of a great interview 20 minutes late to be met by a parking attendant writing a ticket. I apologized profusely and declared I couldn't leave the meeting as this was a life changing opportunity and desperately needed the job. He said best of luck and gave me the ticket. FML

His job is to give tickets when people park illegally. If he gave everyone with a sad story a break, he would get fired. How is he being an asshole? OP, that sucks and I hope you get the job but next time park legally.

Today, I walked to an interview on my college campus. I got there early. The place was empty. I assumed I wrote the date wrong. Several hours later, a friend who also was interviewed asked me how my interview went. The date, time and location were all right. I don't know how I got lost. FML

Today, I found a great recipe for dinner, and emailed it to myself with the subject "Dinner tonight". Hours later, I'd forgotten all about it, opened my emails, saw the subject line, and thought someone was asking me out to dinner. I got really excited until I saw the sender address. FML

Today, I'm working while my husband is the stay at home parent. The house is spotless, our baby girl is happy, and he's never been happier. When I stayed at home, I could never keep the house tidy, and she cried constantly. How does he do it? No matter how we do it, I'm always the one who's tired and miserable. FML
