Today, due to a health insurance mix up, my schizophrenic girlfriend has been off her meds for a little over a week. She's convinced I can read her mind, and if I don't stop "pretending" she'll slit my throat in my sleep. Her medication won't be available for at least another two weeks. FML

Eganstein tells us more.

Just an update, she is in the hospital doing better, and my throat is in tact. And for everyone telling me to leave her, its not gonna happen

Take her to the e.r. They have to give her medication when it is this serious

911! Urgent care! Psychiatric Emergency! Pick one! Death threats should not be taken lightly! Seriously, call 911! the hospital will have her meds.

Be glad that you already know she is schizophrenic , imagine if she just started freaking out on you for no reason, boy that would be though, so at least you know now the problem and you can talk to her doctor or something.

ACt Dumb...that way you couldnt be reading her mind

Run away. This will keep destroying your life and sanity and eventually turn out very very badly.

My uncle has schizophrenia. She's at a bad point, she won't go with you to the er. However, you need to do something, like get the police to bring her to the hospital, or she won't start taking her pills again when you get them. When my uncle had this happen, he started talking about killing people and then tried to kill himself three times. He was off his pills for a week. This mental illnesses cannot be taken lightly. Call her parents and explain the situation.

She NEEDS her meds. Now. Can you take her to the hospital?

You deserve it for dating the crazy bitch in the first place.

@103 please tell me how much of a crazy bitch she is. And also tell me how much you know of her. Also tell me you will never get a psychosis, or an addiction, or schizophrenia, that might lead you to do/think/feel something alike.
