actually, they weren't talking about pastries.
See, what you do here is let her have all the credit. Let her bask in the undeserved praise. Then once someone asks her to bake one of her famous pies, you've got her right where you want her. Once she starts asking, that's when she starts paying you back in whatever way you want. IT'S SO SIMPLE!
Actually, you don't. That takes too much time and energy. You take pictures of you making the pies and then show them to whomever says she did it. Or you make an announcement about how the mother lied.
Just remember you make great pies even if your mother is selfish! By the way you make great pies I heard from word of mouth!!!
