That sucks, but as a fellow social anxiety sufferer, you did great to be able to leave the house, and you made it to the club! That's a really big step. Even though it turned out sour, just be happy that you did really well and took a step towards recovery!
The TV would never beat you up. The TV is your friend.
Congrats on making it to a club OP! But honestly how were you supposed to know? I hope you filed a police report.
Where were your friends in all this?! ._.
Where was security in all of this?
Press charges against him, that's assault or battery. What an asshole. Now I see why you'd have anxiety, for your first time out, you just got your ass kicked. :( ugh.
It's be assault and battery because the person attempted to harm OP, which is assault, and succeeded in harming him, which is battery. If I am correct, you can't get a battery charge without getting an assault charge also.
Get a bigger bloke to be your wingman next time ;)
karma always does right. don't sweat it. next time try to be cautious of who you get to "hitting it off" with.
It's possible it was set up..,but there will be someone you'll hit it off will not get beat up...
Martial arts gym might help you.
