he should have told you right away or at least by the 3rd date. sorry op you found out so late :/ i know i make it a point to say something right away. if someone wants kids i dont want them to stay with me. could you guys compromise?

i want kids by adopting, but not biological. so it really depends on why he doesn't want kids

Pretty sure you can't have a kid and also not have a kid at the same time. Unless you lock them in the basement every other day but I wouldn't recommend it.

I think what #4 is trying to say is that OP could offer to take complete care of the child if that might change the boyfriend's mind.

If you truly want kids, you need to let him go. If children aren't important to you, you have to decide if you really want them or not. If the answer's no, stay but don't flip flop then blame him. Either way, good luck.

Dating is to learn what you want and what you dont. Now that you know you definitely want kids, and that it's important to you, youll be able to find someone who has more life goals in common with you. Don't continue with 3-year-guy thinking you can change his mind about wanting kids. If he doesn't want them, he doesn't want them.
