Today, a long-time client who is a ditz decided to "help" me by paying her USD invoice in CAD without doing the conversion. She doesn't get why that is a problem. FML

Wait, why is an fml about currency conversion tagged as being in the "intimacy" category? Exactly what kind of "service" was this invoice for?

So you like to get it on with your money huh? What was this transfer for? Also didn't she consider that not converting CAD to USD makes it more of a problem later on? When the company receives it, it could be 1.42 by the time it was sent but when it's received, it could be 1.37

Probably because OP got screwed, if you will excuse the expression. I was speaking with a friend regarding USD-CAD conversion rates just yesterday, and CAD is worth $0.74 to each $1 USD. So basically OP lost 26% of his money due to her mistake.
