Square one

Today, after spending last year putting in hard work, which paid off and I got my dream job, due to my own mismanagement of stress my dream job is gone and life is back at square one. Now everyone's predictions of me being a waste of space are true and I have to reinvent my life. Starting over at 38 after already starting over at 36. I can't anymore. FML

Out of the frying pan into another frying pan

Today, after I got fired from my job last year because I couldn't handle the pressure of being under a PIP by a company who wants to underhandedly cut off employees, I got a new job. My new boss keeps hounding me about my performance and I feel like she doesn't like me. I live alone, have no savings and I can't afford being fired again. FML

Don’t trip out over it. I’ve started over at age 30, 35, and 48. Just because a door closes doesn’t mean one won’t open up at all.

I agree with Mike3775 *36. I didn't hit my stride until 37, and then got my shit together and ended up retiring comfortably at 60. There is hope in the Free World. If you are suffering depression, a counselor or doctor might help you. Good luck.

You have learned from this. Stress, if not treated, is horrible to deal with. Is it still your dream job? Did the unresolved stress make you lose the job or did the job add stress that was unmanageable? Be honest and you will see a way forward.
