when you go to court say it had just broken, get it fixed and bring the receipt with a list of the repairs. it worked on a seatbelt ticket so it's worth a shot. or just skip your first trial date pay the fine and get a new trial date. then hope the cop doesn't feel like wasting his time on you for a second trial and maybe it will get thrown out. if not, fyl.
that's what i thought
If it's just the speedometer gauge, you can get something that plugs into your ODB-II port, and reads the speed out of the computer, provided your car is 1996 or newer. That's what I did for my van because it's speedometer was messed up.
You said he's a former mechanic, sure he knows how to fix it, but if he doesn't want to then you take it to another ******* mechanic. Are people that retarded?
what you do is you stay with the tractor trailers. They always go slow when around cop areas because they know those places because they drive those roads A LOT. I know that cuz I had a found on road dead car (ford) and everything broke on it. but on the bright side I now have a awesome TOYOTA that's runs flawlessly. And EVERYTHING works. **** ford. TOYOTA 4 LIFE!!
If you were keeping up with traffic you shouldn't be fined. Keeping up with traffic is perfectly legal.
