I punch people when I get excited. I'd trade that for spontaneously busting into tears any day. Try getting a job after you hit the person interviewing you. Not a great first impression.

I've broken down in tears creating awkward moments as well. Can't say my experiences are as bad as that though. Good luck with the job :)
