Today, I found out from a co worker that my fiance's grandparents hope we don't get married. We announced our engagement 3 months ago. Now, none of his family wants to be there. FML

Don't take is to hard OP. That is not such a rare thing. Just continue to show how much you are in love. Be respectful of the family. Make sure they know of important events and why. They will come around.

That still doesn't really explain why your coworker knows and why they're the one telling you. I worked in a grocery store, too, but that has absolutely nothing to do with my coworkers knowing how my family/future family feels.
