I got caught using a laser pointer through my neighbors window which caused his cat to trash his living room furniture. It was retribution for said cat crapping in my garden. I was ratted out by my own husband.

That doesn't sound like equal payback. Your neighbor can't supervise his cat every second when it's outside to see where it's taking a crap. Not to mention how many wildlife creatures are probably crapping in your yard every day. You just deliberately trashed somebody's home. YDI and more.
