Maybe you should have just asked for her number
what's yours ?

Show it anywayShe did the right thing. But you could have asked her out or something.
How does wanting to protect herself from being stalked by a random person on the streets make HER the bad guy?
I'm sorry OP I would have done the same thing sometimes letting random people have your number opens the door to crazies not that you are but strangers are strangers
Strangers are just victi*cough* I mean friends you haven't met yet. *grins*
Hey stocker just check you phone bill
And you thought it was some sort of elaborate scheme to give you her number? If she didn't knowingly give your her number so you could text her it would have been inappropriate for you to contact her
Clever girl
Well... can you blame her? You're a complete stranger, I probably would've done the same thing. Even if she hadn't deleted it, it would've been kind of creepy for you to contact her when she'd never explicitly given you her number or said she wanted you to contact her

To be honest I think that was a bit more polite of her and as they didn't know you it'd be a bit odd for her to sneakily give you her number that way. I don't really see anything wrong here.
If you're enough of a creep, you can check with your service provider. Don't be enough of a creep, please.
