Today, I was so distraught during my mother’s funeral that I hadn’t been paying attention to anything around me. At some point, my kids changed my ringtone to “Ding dong the witch is dead” and turned my phone to full volume. They called while I was doing her eulogy. FML

See, I don't agree with striking your children. But, I understand that even though you shouldn't, there are times when you want to. This was, I imagine, one of those times. I hope your kids didn't have any issues with your mother, cos I can see no way of justifying this prank.

Seems like there's a lot more to this story than you're saying, like why weren't your children at their grandmother's funeral? Why would they think a prank like this at a funeral would be appropriate?

I think they were at the funeral because how else would they know OP is doing the eulogy?
