Did I mention…?

Today, the soon-to-be father of my baby told me he thinks I'm an extremely selfish person, and that I don't love him. His reasoning? I haven't given him a back rub in two weeks, sleep too much, and have a hormonal problem. Once again: I AM PREGNANT! FML

wow.. new hubby time... Hope you enjoy your bundle of joy

If he thinks you are being selfish now, you are going to seem like Hitler once that baby slithers out of your ******.

36= obvious troll is obvious 20- i agree qith you Op- Have a heart to heart chat with your husband... if things worsen, get out..... 21- lol..

I'm a little torn. On the one hand I want to say the guy is a jerk (which he is- how the hell does a pregnant woman give someone a back rub?), but on the other hand, I'm curious about the term "hormone problem." Pregnant or not, if you're screaming at him over a dirty sock being next to the laundry hamper instead of in it, you definitely deserve his annoyance.

how does a pregnant woman give someone a back rub?? same way as everyone else!! no one gets so big they can't reach to rub someone elses back

A) Yes, they do, have you ever seen an 8-9 month pregnant woman? B) Even if she hasn't gotten huge yet, she might be big enough for it to be uncomfortable for her to really be able to do much.

she can't managed a back rub but many women manage to look after young children who can't walk yet and need carrying and putting in and out of prams and car seats etc when the mothers are huge and 8-9 months pregnant. No of course she can't manage to rub someone's back. (sarcasm)

Oh god, YOU'RE PREGNANT! You special little snowflake! That completely gives you an excuse to think of no-one but yourself, ignore your partner's needs and throw a tantrum whenever someone has the audacity to suggest you get off your ass and do something! And people wonder why so many marriages fail after kids come into the picture. Pregnant women need to get over themselves. Harbouring a parasite is not an excuse to prioritise yourself over everyone around you.

I don't want to sound like a sexist asshole, but this person has a point. I've seen far too many cases where, when a woman is pregnant, the world instantly has to revolve around her.

@perdix She might use that term if she was pissed at him which I imagine she was. men are just insensitive for the most part. it's not in their genetics to be all emotionally understanding...

You may be moderately correct, but I'm also guessing you're a man. You try being sick 24/7 for 9 months, not being able to breathe because of the baby crushing your internal organs into a little ball and being kicked from the inside out, let alone literally being torn a new one delivering his son/daughter into this world. Men bitch so much about pregnant women without even realizing that it's literally living hell. OP: if it's a boy, piss him off even more by giving him your last name instead of your boyfriend's.

to #176 you mean me? I'm a woman...

#39 you sound like a bitch, you are probably worse than the pregnant women you describe. Not giving your boyfriend a backrub means you are a self centered psychotic brat? Jesus Christ, calm the **** down. I'd rather deal with a pregnant woman who feels too tired to give a backrub than a raving bitch who gets worked up over a little FML.

babies are NOT parasites, they're humans , and they need to form and grow like humans. although you are correct about how some women act selfish when they're pregnant there are some women who get really really sick and tired and even have to be bed ridden for the entire pregnancy.

Eh, I'm wondering if most guys have issues being 'helpful' during pregnant. I'm 38 weeks (almost 39) and my husband complains when I ask for him to rub my back or feet. He always says, "You ask me when I don't want to." Well, nah duh, I ask when I'm in pain and feel like a massage would help.

Yeah, freak-outs are to be expected. FYL, though you only brought it on youself... in order words, YDI.
