Dead zone

By The Corner Of Death - This FML is from back in 2013 but it's good stuff - United States - Spring

Today, my dog died. In the same kitchen corner that two of my other dogs have died. I have a "Corner Of Death" in my kitchen. FML

Dogs go someplace comfortable when they know they are dying. The corner made them all happy.

I'm so sorry about your dog OP, hope you're okay! Dogs normally like to go somewhere they feel safe to die, so that corner was probably just a nice cosy enclosed space that your dogs were comfortable in for their final moments

I'm so sorry OP my best friend Murphy did the same thing, he was too much a famu member were he was considered more than a dog...I hate losing loved ones

I've heard before that dogs like to face a certain direction when they die (north maybe? I forget.) Maybe that's the best place in the house they could find.

On hot days, my dogs preferred to lay down by the first floor bathroom because it was in a small darkened hallway, and the tile was nice and cool. Winter time, it was by the fireplace or on my bed. Maybe your dogs' comfy spots was the corner.

I think this is unbelievably sweet. Unless they are dying at surprisingly young ages, there is probably a smell or a feeling in that corner that comforts them as they cross over.
