Just 'cause a little spank is super tame doesn't mean you shouldn't ask. Some people just don't like being hit during sex. Some don't like the noise. Some just don't like their butts being touched at all. And then there are those who had parents too into the spanking thing when they are little and it freaks them out.
Christian Grey style ;)
You should always make sure your partner is cool with it first. :/ Maybe another FML will show up saying, "Today my boyfriend spanked me during sex a little too hard so I was crying from the pain. FML" Imagine what a monster you would seem like.
poor thing. she must have a reason behind it....otherwise...i see nothing wrong with that
I don't think a light spank needs to be asked...it isn't a big deal. And it's his girlfriend, not a one night stand. I don't think he physically hurt her, it sounds like it was a psychological response. Awkward.
It isn't a big deal to you, but it is to some people. New things should always be discussed first, not a complete surprise, and then once it's agreed on, they can be introduced randomly and spontaneously. What you just said is equivalent to saying, "because she's my girlfriend, I don't need to get her consent," which is both disgusting and false.

Ouch, well I hope you at least asked her if she's alright...
