Today, it's my daughter’s 18th birthday. Today is also the day that my husband told me he’s leaving me for her, and he wants a divorce. When I threatened to press charges for potentially grooming her as a minor, he told me I don’t have a leg to stand on because, “She’s been at the age of consent anyway.” FML

(1) 26 is not a “child”. If both are happy then age is not a problem. … (2) I believe the expression is “should have put a ring on it”. Yes, I know it sucks getting dumped from a long term relationship. But failure to commit tells you something - And you just discovered that your partner was still “shopping”.
