Today, I logged on to Facebook to find that my boyfriend's relationship status had changed to being in a relationship with his ex. I asked him about it, and all he said was, "I guess I forgot to break up with you." FML

Thats how i found out i was being broken up with too. Screw facebook; it really does mess everything up. It gives people a screen to hide behind so they dont have to actually confront anyone.

I'm kind of have the viewpoint of 26. It's not like Facebook completely hides everything. It just allows us to be more open. Even in this instance it ends up that OP gets to break up with a douchebag who would've never had the balls to tell her that they were through until it was far overdue. I don't see a problem with Facebook if you don't get all caught up in the glam and the fashion.

People don't have the guts now a days to break up with people face to face. They either do it by chat, eg Facebook or msn, text or phone conversation.....OP's ex just didn't have the balls to do it face to face which is actually really sad

I know exactly how it is!! My ex broke up with me over a voice mail on my cell one time. He reconsidered and got back with me but I was leary so I started to snooop his email and internet access and saw that he was cheating. I dropped him like a hot potato

53 dang that's just as bad as a breakup over Facebook. Both are a lack of confrontation. If you don't trust his answer enough to ask him directly, you probably shouldn't be dating him.
