Bad mom

Today, my daughter's school called to inform me that I needed to bring her some sneakers. Not feeling like driving the 15 minutes to her school, I told them I was away from town. Then I realized I was on my house phone. FML

"I lied, just because I am lazy, but I couldn't even do it right." Oh yeah, obviously your life is terrible.

Mother of the year of the year award goes to... (drum roll) ...Not you, you lazy bitch.

I_heart_him, shut the **** up

lazy? **** yes. "worst mother of the year"? no. the worst mother of the year is the bitch who whored out her 5 year old child then allowed a man to kidnap and kill her. stop being overdramatic. also, mercy is right. "sneakers" instead of "shoes" implies gym class necessity. she's also right that if the child isn't in elementary school, then she's responsible for her own shit and needs to learn an important lesson about being prepared.

For those who didn't go to a school where you wear uniforms: I'm guessing the shoes were for gym class, not because she was barefoot. I went to Catholic school and once in a while I would forget my shoes for track or whatever and it just meant sitting around for that one period. You think it's worth a parent driving in so that their kid doesn't miss a day of running around on the playground? Tell the kid to read a book.

15 minutes is a very short drive, really. If the school was an hour away, perhaps I could understand. But 15 minutes? Really? What were you doing that was so important? It would take just 30 minutes of your time in total. Stop posting stuff on FML all day and go help your kid out. parenting fail

also: a) all of you little snots saying she shouldn't have children? have some of your own first before you judge. i guaran-*******-tee you'll **** up when it comes to your children at LEAST once. and yes, that includes being lazy. b) being willing to die for your child and not wanting to drive shoes to school for a (most likely) non-emergency situation are TWO TOTALLY DIFFERENT THINGS. get off your ******* high horse.

You can't really whine that "I decided to be a lazy parent today and now someone at my daughter's school knows it." I don't see what you're even complaining about, tbh. If this is an FML for anyone, it's your daughter (even though I know that shoes aren't the most important thing in the world, if she needed them for PE it will affect her grade, which could upset her). Since when is "I don't feel like it" a valid excuse to not help your own child? Especially when it's something as simple as driving for a whole 15 minutes? You could at least pretend like you care. Unless she does things like this every day, you should help her out if you can, regardless of whether you feel like it.

Way to go on showing your daughter that you care

Holy crap, I hate what our society has become.  All of you bitching about how the poster is a lazy ***** who never should have had children need to get the hell over yourselves.  Is this really what America has become?  It's a damn pair of sneakers.  So the kid has to sit out for one period of gym.  Yeah, that's a full-blown tragedy right there.  Definitely need to call CPS on that one.  It's not like the mother beats her child or anything like that, you ignorant asses. Get a life.

that figures. people are so selfish. its a simple task only 15 minutes away you lazy bitch
