Today, my doctor told me I'm pregnant. Since we've been trying for several years, I called my husband to tell him the good news. Not long after, my doctor called to inform me there'd been a clerical mix-up and I'm not actually pregnant after all. FML
Today, as I was getting my mail, I noticed I'd received a free coupon from a baby supply store, saying, "Congratulations on your pregnancy!" Thinking it was a mistake, I showed my girlfriend, who I live with. All she had to say was, "Surprise!" FML
Today, I was called to be told I'm fired for not showing up for my shift. I guess she didn't check her voice message to see that I gave birth last night. FML
Today, my work is doing a legal investigation about whether they can avoid paying me maternity benefit. According to my sleazy boss, "You notified us too late." FML
Today, I texted my cousin to ask if he and his wife got the baby onesie I sent, as they are expecting their first child together. Turns out they got it, but it upset his wife as she had recently lost the baby. No one had told me before. FML
Today, I went to the health department to get on some birth control. I left the health department without birth control, and with the news that I'm pregnant. FML
Today, I went to my local Walmart to grab a few groceries, and while at the checkout line I grabbed two chocolate bars for a snack. The cashier gave me a look and mumbled under her breath, "Surprise, surprise." I'm pregnant, asshole. FML
Today, I found out I'm pregnant. Last week my coworker, who I sit next to 5 days a week, returned to work after bereavement maternity leave. FML
Today, while getting ready to welcome my first child into the world, my father in law decided to "help out" and threw out a bunch of papers I needed. Like my child's application for a health card, social insurance number, and my birth plan, as well as instructions from my doctor. FML
Today, I was talking to a co-worker about birth control. Ten minutes later, I went to my sent e-mails to copy and reuse an old e-mail and realized I had sent "I tried calling you but your birth control is not working" to a student. It was supposed to say "voicemail". FML

As someone who has two infertility chronic pain diseases and will have a very had time getting pregnant, I am so very sorry for your loss. Any time I see that someone in my support group goes through one my heart breaks. I can't imagine how hard the reminder must have been. I do hope that when/if you decide to try again you'll be able to give birth to a beautiful rainbow baby. (for anyone who doesn't know a rainbow baby is a baby born after miscarriage, still born or infant loss) Stay strong OP, sending hugs your way.

I'm so sorry, OP. It's been 5 months since my miscarriage and I just had an acquaintance/neighbor ask me if I wanted to see their newborn. Turned me into a sobbing mess. I feel you.

Wow. That's really inconsiderate. I'm sorry you had to go through that. After reading so many of these I just don't understand how so many people can drop the ball on their jobs.

I'm so sorry OP. I had something similar happen to me only with the doctors office sending me the upcoming bill for the vaginal birth weeks after my second miscarriage and my doctor had to perform the emergency surgery to remove the fetus and stop my hemorrhaging so I wouldn't bleed to death. Just finished paying that bill and we lost another. It's difficult. Again I am so sorry for you loss.
