If this is a reoccurring situation, maybe you should try to make him realize he has a problem and talk him into going to a detox.
I know that it sucks. My grandpa was an alcoholic and my dad, when he was a teen, vowed to never put his family through what his dad did. He’s now 86 and has never been drunk. He’d have maybe one glass of wine a year (maybe!) and the only whiskey he’d drink is in a hot toddy when he had a cold. Keep strong and learn what you do not want your life to look like. Sad to say, you can’t make your dad stop drinking, only he can make that choice. But you can choose how you react to it and how much you yourself drink. Good luck to you.
