A few weeks ago I lost my virginity to my 17 year old girlfriend of 4 months, well the condom broke and today she had to go with her mother to get a pregnancy test, let's just say most awkward conversation I've ever had!!!

The GF isn't necessarily pregnant, even if she is, she might not carry to term, and even if she carries to term, she may not want OP around or may give the child up for adoption. That said, OP, if you live in the USA, the plan B pill is available without going to a doctor. It won't hurt to keep one around or know where to get them in case you experience a condom failure again.

Condoms are NOT reliable on their own to prevent pregnancy--but kudos to you for using one, since at least they guard against STIs. Your girlfriend needs to be using something as well. After all, she's the one who'll be pregnant at 17, or deal with the aftermath of an abortion. Even if you stick around to help, based on 4 months of dating, she's the one who's doing all the work (of being pregnant). AND your lives are changed FOREVER, at age 17, with a girl you've been dating for 4 months... I feel sorry for you both.

Keep involved in the decision making, and no matter how it goes stick by your girlfriend. It's only 4 months for you now, but you have the chance to prove yourself worthy if things work out for you two (or 3), and also show that you are a decent human being to others. If things eventually don't work for you two, you still have proven that you are a trustworthy person and that will go far when the right one does come along.
