Today, I went to the orthodontist's to get my braces tightened, and I chose baby blue bands. Turns out they make my teeth look extremely yellow. Only a month and a half to go. FML

Today, I just got back from school with my mouth feeling like a bomb site, and also very hungry. I just got my braces installed yesterday, and I have to wear them for 18 months. I can barely eat anything solid, which means I will be hungry more often. It's going to be an awesome 18 months trying to focus on school! FML

Having braces doesnt suck.. its normal. But what is GOING to suck is actually wearing them. It HURTS like hell .. your lips get BROKEN inside the mouth. The pain lasts for a week. And then every time u meet orthodontist (every month) its going to hurt AGAIN .. for some days. .. I have braces :D

Man... that was a little harsh. Honestly, braces happen. I knew a 40 year old with braces. A professor. She didn't whine half as much as about her Dad dying as you just did for someone else who is getting braces late. Most people go through it. To the OP, if it's that bad, don't go to any of those events or don't get braces. This really isn't an FML.

OhMiGosh... BRACES?!?! Wow... that's TERRIBLE!!! Getting something that almost EVERYONE has to deal with??? Come on... Give me a break. I'm 13 and know that it's not a big deal. It may cause physical pain, but it seems like you're more concerned about your looks... (obviously). Sorry, but there is MANY people that have it WAY worse than you do. Try to get over yourself, and worry about your health first... Good luck.
