As a band kid myself, I know how fun, relaxing and successful playing an instrument can be. I mean, it isn't the best career field to go into, but there are a few people that do make a lot of money from music. But music is a great hobby, and just because it's the only thing you're good at doesn't mean your life sucks. A person can't really appreciate music unless they have a talent for it. Keep doing what you like. :-)
