The allele for red hair is recessive to the allele for blond hair, so you are likely both heterozygous, but displaying the phenotype for the dominant allele. Do some research on genetics before jumping to conclusions.

71. Blonde is NOT the most recessive allele. If it was, there would be more red heads than blondes. Red hair is a double recessive. Along with green eyes. They are the most recessive eye color, or so my optometrist tells me. Gah.
