This guys sounds like a jerk...not only did he wait nine years to tell you he is gay and has been lying to you...but he had to throw you under the bus and make you feel like crap before he left. Leave him and never look back, he obviously doesn't care about you!

Will you stop picking on the guy? FMLs are notoriously one sided, for all we know the OP is being a bitch and she just has a broad back like my friend who I find exceedingly interesting because of her man shoulders. She may just look conferable to him. You can't say the guy didn't care for her. he lived with her for 9 years, that has to count for something. But times are a changing, its more acceptable to be gay so he is willing to strive out to find someone more compatible. Just be happy that he isn't cheating on you with another man.
