So you get what you want but don't tell her that she's not going to get what she eventually wants. That's a selfish, one sided relationship. **** HER life.
If you're not interested in marriage, your girlfriend should probably know. You sound like a douche, tbh.
God I really hope you weren't trying to Get sympathy for you being a ass over nothing. Maybe talk to her about the ring or that you don't like the idea of marriage.
Why is marriage bad?
Maybe he's afraid of commitment and won't admit it? Other than that I can't help you in answering your question.
IE: I want most of the benefits of marriage but with no legal recourse when I go out drinking vodka and Red Bulls and cheat with the first skag that bites, right?
Was she aware of your views on marriage before hand? Is she one of those people that says they're fine with no marriage but then gets excited at the idea of it? Either way, sounds like you two definitely need to have a discussion to clear this up. Best of luck, OP!
Ouch, that sucks for sure. Not sure why so many people are hitting YDI.
It's because his idea of marriage is completely invalid.
Um no it's not, his idea of marriage is reasonable and perfectly fine. Not everyone likes or wants marriage
Because he's leading her on. She thinks he's going to propose one day but he's never going to. Unless he told her straight up how he feels, he deserves it.

First, the fact that you don't like marriage doesn't make it sick or immoral. Second unless you have made it amply clear to your partner that you don't ever want to get married, they are entitled to think that if things go well, the relationship will eventually lead to marriage. Your girlfriend seems oblivious of the fact that you're so anti-marriage, so it's a **** her life from me
Then maybe you should let her know that so she doesn't keep waiting for something that's not going to happen.
