Maybe it was HER (the sis-in-law) family reunion??
I completely agree. I went to high-school with a kid who had a T.S.S. person follow him around all the time because he was somewhat slow in learning yet he knew EVERYTHING there was to know about computers dating back to the very first computer and how it was created, all of that. He now works for Microsoft making six figures a year while the kids that made fun of him are managers at fast food chains such as McDonald's.
My uncle-to-be is a big nerd. I love him to death, he's amazingly hilarious and obviously intelligent. He also is one of the few who high-five me when I make a raunchy, witty remark. There ARE such things as cool nerds/geeks. That being said, Pimpin has at least one point: If they are so strange, then is it really so bad you weren't invited? See, now you weren't included in the group of strange people, especially since they decided not to invite you. She said "your family is strange" instead of "you all are strange." Thus, you, OP, are by default not strange. This is not a bad thing. Yeah yeah, even if you love them and wish you could have been there (and may actually be strange too), it's not so bad you weren't invited.
Woah..that sucks. But then again family reunions are pretty annoying...

You're apparently not strange enough. This isn't a bad thing.
Unless you're a convicted murderer or pedophile, then FYL. Your family sucks. Especially your parents.
