Today, I was sitting in the lecture hall. A girl walked by to get to her seat and her dress got caught on the handles, lifting it up. She didn't notice but I did, so I tried to take it off the handles. She turned around to see me holding her dress up. FML

I think you should've asked her if she wanted help, because now she probibly thinks you're a creep.

What did you expect when you lifted it over your head, a round of applause and a date?

Hordes* b**ch! It's your language, isn't it? I, for one, am just borrowing it. Maybe you ought to try sitting in on one of these lecture classes, hmmm?

Okay, im getting pissed off, why dont people on this site have any respect!?! every comment i do, if i agree with the fml or not, I get numerous dislikes on my comment! why all the hate?

You can't let an online anonymous voting party affect your mood so drastically.

im not lettin it affect my mood so drasticly, im just sick of dickheads like you.

Trolls, it's also possible they don't like you and the fact you're being a bit of an attention ***** doesn't help much. OR they don't agree with you, simple really.

yeh, but the thing is im not being an attention ***** and how can someone not like me when then have never actaully spoken to me?

Yet again, you're making a comment complaining about how people are voting you down when it's not even close to being on topic. In a way that's begging for attention. As for people not liking you? Dunno, ask gayboii - he's an expert at Internet hate chains.

This comment has nothing to do with the FML at hand. Also, Doc said was at all dickish. So calm your britches. You are complaining about people making snap judgements about you without ever having spoken to you, but guess what? That's what you just did. So I suggest again that you calm yourself.

well i actually did a comment that had everything to do with the fml, if you got your facts right and read it youd know. this comment was a follow up on it. and im not complaining im asking a simple question, Why is everyone full of hate?

*nothing Doc said was at all dickish That's what I meant to say.

You're an utter tool. End of discussion.

I just read your coment. I can see a couple of reasons to vote it down. 1- It's going to piss off grammar Nazis, and people who just prefer good grammar. 2- If people disagree with you they will vote it down. I disagreed with you, so I voted it down. There are likely people who agreed with you who voted it up too. Also, the fact that your previous comment was on topic doesn't change that this one wasn't.

that perfectly fine or you to disagree but all i was trying to say is most people on fmylife.com are full of hate.

Well, take that up with a moderator if you feel like something needs to be done. This is not the place to do it.

^^ woops, they must've deleted the comment my above comment was intended for...

N/m, they must have deleted the comment my above comment was intended for. so now im left here looking stupid, arguing with air...

Aaagh!!! I made a second justification comment, because i didnt think the first one went thru...somebody save me from this trainwreck!!!

Sometimes it's a good idea to do something nice for people - Sometimes it's a good idea to speak up, which is just as good as being nice. In this situation discretion wins out and hindsight probably tells you it would have been smarter to say something to the tune of "Miss, it looks like your dress is caught in X" - It could have still gone poorly with her choosing to focus on the negative, but, at least it had more potential to be a nice act AND was probably less creepy in all aspects.

But if she's bad at math, she won't find X. and then OP is back where he started…

It's a simple reality that girls don't like being told of their clothing malfunctions. It's because they get embarressed. I've been screamed at for telling a girl that she had period leakage on her white pants It doesn't change that if it was me, I'd want someone to tell me. You probably should have told her, rather than trying to fix it for her.

Ya I'm sure it's embarrassing, and it sucks, and like I even said she would have probably focused on the negative [Why are you looking up my dress, perv!?] but in this situation the other alternative would have been to let her rip her dress, or, make an ass of herself as she fell backwards. But, like you mention, it would have been the nice thing to do to take the heat. In no situation is it NOT creepy to be playing with some girl's, whom you don't know, dress.
