Be glad that he cared enough to want to propose to you and get a ring at all. My wedding set cost just about $50 at Target, and it's exactly what I wanted. We don't have a huge amount of money, but we have great kids and a loving home, and that's what really matters.

i love how most of you are calling me materialistic, selfish, greedy, and a spoiled bitch. no, an expensive ring was not out of his price range, considering he has a ton of money. and it's not like i ever ask for anything. i bought most of the things in our house. i just question the thought that went into this. if he's only spending 20$ on my engagement ring, how serious is he about our relationship? i don't want a 20k ring. i'm not spoiled, i don't expect a big flashy real diamond ring from him. i just expected something a little more then what he bought from a commercial while watching adult swim. not only that, but i didn't expect him to tell me the ring cost around 2k. so no, i'm not a spoiled greedy little brat. i can't really fit a lot into a 200 character space, so would you mind not being total assholes to me? thanks a ton.
