That's just awful... Judging someone by what's on their skin (unless it is TRULY offensive) is ******* ridiculous. OP, I hope you can find an even better ring from an even better sales rep.
Agreed. I'm an older guy and the tattoo craze is something that came well after I grew up. So tattoos do sometimes seem weird and trashy to me. But I feel completely differently about memorial tattoos.
I can relate to being judged based on my ink. My personal favorite: you must've gotten those tattoos when you were drunk. Wrong, asshole. Any self respecting tattoo artist only inks sober people. I choose to commemorate monumental personal moments with tattoos, doesn't make me any less of a person than you. You don't have to agree/understand, but don't you dare judge.
I love this.
It depends #39, OP never said what they were memorializing. It could have been like the extremely offensive tattoo I saw on a woman's personal bits while I was delivering her baby. I never ask, but she told me it was to memorialize the first time she had anal sex. I could not care what was tattooed on a person, but for an extreme example, what if the tattoo was a memorial for when they joined some supremacist group, and the person who owned the shop had friends/family killed or hurt by people belonging to that group? I doubt that was the case, but you never know.
It doesn't matter how extreme it is. Business is business and you MUST act professional. It could be the trashiest tattoo ever, but you would still need to serve them like any other customer. In OP's case, he didn't deserve this.
I'd buy a ring elsewhere then go back all Pretty Woman on their ass! "I was in here yesterday, you wouldn't wait on me. Big mistake. Big. Huge. I have to go shopping now." Lol
Yes! Exactly what I was thinking. Everyone needs to take a page from Pretty Women every now and then. It makes me so happy each time I see that scene lol.
Call up your local newspaper and see if you can get a story. Hit that douche as hard as you can, right in the wallet.
I'm often really surprised by some American FMLs, it's like there is few laws to protect normal people from extremely stupid douchebags... I mean, isn't refusing to serve a customer just... totally illegal?( In France it is strictly forbidden to refuse to serve someone in a shop without a very very good reason...)
That guy is a total ass clown. Some people just misjudge tattoos to mean something bad.
I know this May seem trivial but I want to know. Was it like a date and name or was there like a person's face or something symbolizing them? Just wondering so yeah.
When this happens, stop, call your lawyer, and prepare to place a lawsuit on this @$$hole. Just say he had made you feel horrible and was judgmental. Etc etc etc. If he's going to be an ass, just be more of an ass
I'm just curious. What exactly would be the grounds for the lawsuit?
Captain RR----i wanted to say that you must be american but it turns out your a fellow canadian. If everyone made a lawsuit against anyone that was ever mean to them all the kids in middle school who are being bullied would be busy with their court times. Sometimes its way better to take the high road and not return to the store than act like a child and have the same ignorance in return.
Go in and take a picture of it. Go to another jeweler and ask him to duplicate it for half the price or more karats...:
This reminds me of the retail assistant who told Oprah that she wouldn't be able to afford a bag in a shop, and who refused to pull it down off the high shelf for her.
Was this when Oprah was already super famous I would assume? Stupid clerk, probably amazing Oprah response

What an ass
You don't want to be buying a ring from an ass like that.
