Sound and vision

Today, two months into my new marketing job, I presented my first webinar live to over 300 people. Half the audience complained about the horrible sound quality, saying all they could hear was a Mickey Mouse squeaky sound. Turns out it wasn't the sound quality, it was my voice. FML

Button fever

Today, I had a conference call with a client. I was feeling confident and had been preparing all morning. Right in the middle of my presentation, I hit the wrong button, and my webcam feed turned into a close-up of my face, which had a giant zit right in the middle of my forehead. The client didn’t say anything, but I could see their eyes glued to it. FML

Once Disney finds out, they'll sic their lawyers on you. On the up side, if any of their films are to be trusted, you'll get a spiffy new pair of legs for relinquishing your voice. Those things'll be prince magnets!

Webinar is an actual thing. It's a combination of web (as in internet) and seminar. If you see a word you've never seen before, maybe try looking it up instead of assuming it's not a real thing.
