i'm a cashier too, i feel your pain. :(
big deal i'm a cashier too. Its a lot more fun to put stuff away than to stand at your register and ring up customers. and i agree with the people who say it's your job. grow up.
most customers are just assholes. that's the way it is.
Not an FML it is part of the job, I worked as a cashier at walmart for almost 2 years, and this kind of thing happened all the time. It is a really big hassle, but your life isnt ****** at all
Yeah, that sucks and all... but happens. When our bank was being retarded and our check declined, we had to leave a cart full of stuff to be put back, too. Customer isn't an asshole, he just has bad luck, and so do you.
It's the courtesy's job to take items back, not the cashiers. Or do you leave the registers unattended? No, you don't. Stop whining. "Today I had to stock and face the entire store, mop floors, clean bathrooms, repair recycling machines, take back carts, show customers to the same item a hundred times, tie up Christmas trees and load them into cars, climb 30 foot ladders just to get a box of paper bags, take items back, clean the food court, stock the refrigerators there with beverages commandeered from the drink aisle, take over the deli for a few hours because one of the employees skipped out even though I don't have the proper qualifications, and intimidate homeless people stealing cans all while being chastised by the manager from another department for having an empty spot in the dairy shelf because it might look bad to the higher ups while the cashiers sat on their haunches and punched buttons. FML" - how this FML should read
@56: The OP isn't really being a douche in putting the items back unless he actually said, "Hey, I forgot my wallet, could you hold onto these items and I'll be back in 15 minutes?" Accidentally didn't hit "reply" or something...
It took you ten minutes to bag 15 bags? Jesus Christ. You should be fired.
Isn't it your job to put things back that customers didn't want/couldn't buy? The guy made a mistake. You didn't say he did it to be an asshole or was mean to you. So suck it up, do your job and be glad you have one. If you don't want to do it I am sure your boss can find 10 people who will apply for your job.
