Today, I was upset because my brother, who I'm very close to, didn't call me for my birthday yesterday. I told my mom about it, and we both immediately went silent on the phone, as we both realized she forgot to call me yesterday as well. FML

My brother, who I'm very close to, just about didn't call this year. I just about got upset about it, but thought about how forgetful he is and how bad he'd feel after. So I called his girlfriend and reminded her (she forgot too) and asked her to remind him in a way that didn't embarrass him. She did and it all went smoothly. I prefer things to go that way than waiting to say "you forgot, you ass."

Due to my families stupid religion, I haven't had a birthday since I was 12. OP you got time to tell him what an ass he is. Just try to be subtle about it, birthdays come and go.

Have you maybe thought about what he was going through that day? Lol jk no excuses a quick text or phone call doesn't hurt. Even my brother in Germany calls me at least once a year and thats on my birthday
