Today, I filed my taxes and I normally claim my parents as dependants. My taxes got rejected because my parents filed their taxes without informing me, and they don't have income. They believe if they file taxes, they get $5000 back, per Trump. It ended up costing me over $3,500 extra. FML

Today, I've been waiting for over a year now to get my 2019 tax refund. I did mess up and underreported 2 grand initially. I resent everything as soon as I realized what I'd done, and I'm expecting a nice chunk of change and can't file my 2020 taxes until this is sorted. FML

Today, I found out that they won't hold my stimulus for child support, only to find out that they withheld it to give it to me when I file my taxes. Which child support will take. FML

Depends. Homestead exemption and a bunch of other things including low level incomes and no retirement savings leaving them sit on poverty means no reason to. There’s a minimum to earn to be required. Especially if both are disabled or were before retirement age with no assets. Likely why he was claiming them. There’s a lot poor idiots who voted for the orange ham-turd, who support the very person who screwed them and will continue screwing them, and they’ll give their only money to jackasses like Olsteen despite having almost nothing and the benefitee is a billionaire. So yeah… totally believable
