Today, while in class, my friend would not stop annoying me by tapping me on the shoulder every so often. After the fifth time, I lost my patience, told him to F off, and slapped his hand. Only it wasn't my friend tapping my shoulder this time, it was my teacher. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, my friend was picking on me at school by constantly tapping on my shoulder. At recess I had enough. I felt the familiar tap on my shoulder, and I drove my elbow into what I thought was my friend's stomach. It was my Principal. FML
Read the room
Today, I was teaching and a boy sitting in front kept laughing and smiling, even after I asked him to cut it out. I got so annoyed that I jokingly said I'd knock his teeth out, and asked him to leave the class. The kid went to the principal and told him I intended to hurt him. I'm a college professor. FML
Please, apologize
Today, my teacher yelled at me for using my phone in class. I apologized out loud, knowing that it would help me get off easier. She was yelling at somebody else. FML
What is going on?
Today, at my art school, during the class my teacher left the classroom. I stood up from my seat to ask my friend something. When I sat back down, one of my guy classmates was sitting there. I sat on his lap and right at that moment my teacher came back. FML
Today, my math teacher raged at a student for eating an apple in class. As he yelled at the student, he slapped the apple out of his hand and right into my face. Everyone laughed, including the teacher. FML
Never sneak up
Today, I was listening to some music before school started, which is why I didn't hear my teacher sneak up behind me. When she laid her hand on my shoulder, of course I accidentally punch her in the face. Her nose bled. FML
Today, I fell asleep in class. I'm the teacher. FML
Today, at school I was sitting with a friend outside, talking about irregular periods and unshaven legs. Ten minutes into the conversation, a teacher sticks her head out the window above us and tells us to leave. We were distracting a classroom who were trying to finish a test. FML
Right in the kisser
Today, I was in sociology class and I raised my hand to ask a question, not realizing that the professor was right behind me. I smacked him right in the face, no doubt reducing my chances of a good grade. FML
Today, I was taking a biology final and was just randomly tapping my pencil. My teacher thought I was somehow communicating with the person next to me, and decided to fail me. FML

Your teacher has bad timing.

Just explain the situation and you should be fine.

In middle school there was this girl who sat behind me. In class she kept ramming her desk into the back of my chair. I allowed this to go on for a few weeks (shame on me) and talking to her did no good. One day I just had enough, I turned around yelled "Just ******* stop it!" And slapped her arm so hard it bruised. She went and complained to the principal and I explained what had happened. The principal brought the teacher in as a witness. The teacher told him that the girl was rocking her chair and pinched her arm in between her desk and the back of my chair, and gave me a wink like "don't worry, I got your back". Best. Teacher. Ever!

I had a friend pull my hair every day and I kept warning her to stop. Well one day she did it in the bathroom and I didn't even think before I slapped the **** outta her. Left a handprint and I was only a third grader. The teacher wrote me up and made it seem like I was a big bully who picked on small kids. She was a grade behind me because she got held back and we were the same size! Her mom said I should've hit her harder. Never heard from her again after that. We all have our limits.

If you can't handle that everyone is different and has different reactions then maybe YOU need to see a therapist

Did I say you should "like" it? No, I just suggested getting some help so you didn't have such strong negative reactions to innocuous stimuli. You don't have to let your past abuse continue to rule how your body responds to a simple tap on the shoulder.

you know, it isn't that important... i hate being touched, too, and you know what i did? i stopped caring about it, stopped getting angry about it, and i stopped doing anything about it. people will be people, and if they must touch, then whatever. they don't mean anything malicious about it. because, compared to everything else, not liking to be touched is just too minor to get militant over... but, that's my opinion. you may call me a troll, but everyone has their own methods on dealing with it. i got perspective over the whole thing, and deemed the touch phobia too silly to maintain.

YDI. You shouldn't have slapped your friend, either, nor tell him to F off.

My friends are the ones who get told to **** off the most.

I resent your comment. Not all Missourians exploded at the wrong person, just like I'm sure where ever you are, people do the same. Sincerely, the people of Missouri.

I'd say YDI, because if this was in class you should've been paying attention to the teacher in the first place.

23: Yes, because it's so easy to pay attention when someone keeps constantly, and annoyingly, tapping you in the shoulder. Everyone has their limits.

Think about a classroom. Where is your attention? Teacher is talking, you are most likely listening or taking notes. So unless OP is doing something like texting in class and not paying attention and his/her friend is tapping to say "Hey, incoming teacher" but I could be horribly wrong if this wasn't during class time.
