Today, I was driving home from a long day at work fixing people's electronics. When I got home, I got a call from work saying I needed to go back and help a customer with their TV again. When I got there, after an hour of driving, I realized I'd accidentally kicked the power cord out. FML

Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.

HELP!
Today, I reached behind my couch to plug my phone charger in. My arm got stuck and I had to wait for my roommate to get home to help me. FML
Today, I finished working a 70 hour work week. I'm a lineman for the electric company, and worked extended hours all week getting people's lights back on after a wind storm. When I got home, my power was out. FML
Today, while cleaning up, I dropped a box of thumbtacks, spilling them all over the floor. As I fumbled to pick them up, the power went out. FML
Today, I was setting up comcast cable boxes for my house. I had the packaging everywhere when I finished. Looking admirably at my job, I backed out my door, and stepped on bubble wrap, scaring myself. I flailed, fell, reached out, grabbing one of the cable wires. I pulled the cable box and my modem off. While the cat's away…
Today, I knew my wife and kid wouldn't be home until later, and I was excited to play video games and relax. The second I turned my computer on, the power went out. It came back on as my wife was pulling into the driveway. FML
Today, I was calling my cable company to tell me how to fix my internet. I stayed on hold for almost half an hour, and then when someone finally picked up, my phone died. FML
Today, I was sent to a customer's house to switch out a washing machine. My boss had assured me that everything I'd need was already in the truck. Halfway there, I ran out of gas and I realized I didn't have the gas card. My boss says it's my fault. FML
Thanks, but no thanks
Today, I was called into work to fix up their projection system. I drove 40 kilometers in peak hour to get there. As soon as I parked my car and was about to walk in, I got a phone call saying "Don't worry, we fixed it, you don't have to come in." FML
Brain melt
Today, I stood there for 10 minutes trying to fix the toaster, until I called my brother to help me. I'd forgotten that it wasn't plugged in. He now thinks I'm a complete idiot. FML
Today, I went to work 300 miles away from where I live. I couldn't find my customer's address, so I decided to call him. I'd picked up my wireless house phone instead of my mobile. FML

Next time ignore the call? either that or ask them to pay you plenty for over-time, while asking for time off away from the idiots you have to deal with.

NOT THE CORD!!! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD AND ALL THAT IS HOLY, NOT THE CORD!!!! oh wait... you just... yeah... you put it right there and.... yeah oh ok I gotcha... false alarm heh... hey listen sorry about... nah no worries. I just need some sleep so I can wake up early to do this all over again. shitty hours huh?... yeah man they're killing me. hardly spend anytime with the kids now, and there is just too much going on to do anything with em. especially at a job like this. just smile and take it like yah can man, or snag something else. some people aren't cut out for other types of works. do something you like and stick with it for awhile. its hard to find something that you love to do, but you should never stop trying.
