Today, I realized the only reason my phone ever rings is because someone needs help with their computer. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Technologically challenged
Today, my aged mother continued to complain about her computer issues to me. A relative, who is good at tech support, won't bother servicing her computer because whatever she does ends up bogging it down the next day, so I have to hear about it on the phone. FML
Error!
Today, I called my cell phone tech support to help with my Samsung device. They sent me contact info for Apple support. FML
Today, due to technical problems, I had to call the company's IT-support as my computer went totally haywire. I explained via phone that I couldn't access anything. The support then tried contacting me by e-mail and got upset with me when I didn't answer. FML
Today, I was calling my cable company to tell me how to fix my internet. I stayed on hold for almost half an hour, and then when someone finally picked up, my phone died. FML
Today, I was giving a lecture to my class I heard a phone go off. Aggravated and exhausted, I asked everyone to turn their phones off. Then the phone rang again. I lost my shit and spent the next half hour calling my students a bunch of "technology whores". Then I realized the phone was mine. FML
Occam's razor
Today, I called tech support because my new computer wasn’t turning on. After a long while on the phone, they finally asked if it was plugged in. It wasn’t. I spent way too long troubleshooting with a dead device because I never plugged it into the outlet. FML
The arrogance of youth
Today, as always, I had to have my dad help me with my computer issues. Isn’t it supposed to be the other way around? FML
Asked and answered
Today, after a 16-hour day fixing the computer network at my workplace, I didn't even get a "Thank you". I did, however, get people whining about how, "That computer crap never works" and, "Why do we need IT anyway?" FML
Assumptions
Today, my dad once again had to help me with my technological issues. Isn’t it usually the other way around? FML
Stumped
Today, I was trying to turn on my computer and couldn't. I spent twenty minutes trying to figure out what was wrong when I finally called my husband for help and made him leave work. He came in, looked at the wall, and plugged it back in. The look on his face said it all. FML

I'm sure you'll find a girl that will turn your floppy disk into a hard disk.

Well, sounded like you are a nurd and so what? Enjoy with what you like doing. In 5 years time you will see them still be stuck in the same place while you are making money. ;)

My parents do the same thing about 3 times a week and most of my friends. I feel your pain.

I personally don't like phone conversations. I'd consider this a blessing.

Isn't that the story of Bill Gates' life?

I feel your pain. Same thing over here except I get the occasional "friend" who needs a ride. I say we blackmail them with all information we have on them... For a surprise party....for ourselves.....
