Today, I ran for the train that was about to leave. I tried to hold the doors open with my leg and got stuck. The conductor just yelled out how unbelievable and ridiculous I was and waited 2 minutes to finally release me. Everyone was laughing at me. FML

A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, I had to run for the train, but because of my bad foot and limping they held the train, much to people's displeasure. No one let me sit down, so for the 20 minute journey, I stood. With a bad foot. FML
Today, I was waiting for the train. It arrived, I got on and the woman behind me stepped on the back of my shoe. My shoe came flying off and landed in the gutter between the train and the platform. The doors closed, the train pulled away. FML
Today, I was rushing to get on the train to work as I heard the "door closing" beeps. I was about to step onto the train when a man pushed me out of the way so that he could get on. My handbag fell out of my hand into the carriage. I stayed on the platform. FML
Today, after two and a half hours of travel, it was finally my stop on the train. I politely waited for a group of women to get off first. They took so long to move that the train doors closed. I shouted at one through the door to call the conductor. She watched and smiled as the train departed. FML
Today, at the train station a woman's baggage had gotten stuck in the ticket barriers, so I used my ticket to unlock the barriers for her but told her to wait so I could get through too. She didn't wait. And I got painfully stuck in the barriers whilst I watched my train go by. FML
Today, I was sitting waiting for my train for a long while. When it finally came, I had pins and needles in my foot. When I got up, I fell and unsuccessfully stumbled towards the train. The doors closed and it left without me. FML
Today, I was running late and rushing to a waiting bus. I made it to the doors just as they closed. I knocked desperately, hoping the driver would let me in. He hovered his hand over the button for a few seconds, then flipped me off, and drove away laughing. FML
Today, I was on the train to work. I was up late the night before, causing me to doze off. When I woke up, I was at my station. I stood up, went to walk out of the door and fell flat on my face on a platform full of people. Someone had tied my shoelaces together. FML
Today, I saw my train pulling into the station. I sprinted up the stairs and luckily made the train. I looked around and no one was in my compartment. I began to notice that the train was heading down some tracks I'd never been to. I got stuck on an empty train for 3 hours in the train garage. FML
Today, I was walking out of the train station when an old man grabbed me. I started screaming, yelling, "HELP" like a madwoman and tried pushing him away - that's when I saw the golf cart rush past me. He was trying to push me aside from getting run over. Everyone started laughing. FML

@#2: Depends on the type of train i guess, most traindoors here open again if something gets stuck between em (safety). Else the OP could have thought (s)he could push open the doors but turned out to be a weakling (OWNED!!) Either way, you deserved it! Learn to be one time.

You can't always be on time, and here the train doors always reopen. Totally what any motivated person would do. And in the end OP did got on the train now didn't he? I've had plenty of times I had to pull open the subway doors, even let my friends in, as they just keep trying to close (but any man can pull 'em open).

Wow you guys suck. The conductor could have easily re-opened the door instead of waiting for two minutes and making the OP look like an idiot. And "be on time"? He/She was on time. The OP got to the train before it left. He/She had one leg in and would have gotten all the way in had the conductor not been a jerk.

I completely agree with #9, the conductor should have just opened the door and continued on his way. SImple as that. No need to make a rough situation even rougher... No respect I tell ya!

why would you have respect for someone coming too late? if the door's closing, that means you're too late. conductors that always reopen as soon as they see someone running their way are the ones wo are always late.
