Today, I learned that even though I've never slept in my date's bed, it didn't prevent the bed bugs he had from getting into my own. FML

Oh wow. This one is mine, you guys -- though, I'm sure not many of you will make it this far. Yes, the exterminator was here; therefore, the bed bugs are gone, and as an *additional* bonus, so is the guy that infested me with them (not necessarily because of the bed bugs, but because of other issues). Nonetheless, I say good riddance.

Today, my girlfriend broke up with me after a year of living together. She told me that she met someone else and wanted to move out. She moved out... but moved her things into my roommate's bedroom. FML

Today, I took my 8 year-old daughter to an airplane museum to show her the kinds of aircraft I’ve worked on during my 30+ year career. In the first 15 minutes, I had grease on my new shirt, bumped my head, spilled coffee and cut my hand. Sums up my career. Only 10 more years to go. FML

Today, I was helping a 93 year-old hoarder organize her home. She asked me to make ropes from old plastic bags, fold bags in a specific odd way, then fit four large boxes of bags into one smaller one. I said I couldn't do those, nor fit four boxes in one. "Why are you here if you can’t do things?" she said. I’m a professional home organizer. FML
