Today, I learned just how much change a toddler can stuff in to a Nintendo Wii. I also learned that those things are put together with special screws. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Wonky birthday!
Today, halfway through assembling a toy kitchen for a birthday, I realized the instructions made no sense and half the screws looked identical. I still somehow finished it and felt triumphant until the kid opened the oven door, the whole thing tipped sideways, and I had to spend the rest of the party holding it together with one hand. FML
Today, I found out how hard a lemon is to the nuts when being hurled by an angry girlfriend for losing at Wii Sports. FML
Today, I bought a brand new Wii U. My cat must have thought the wires looked tasty because he chewed through each of them, which will now cost me another $100. FML
Today, I tried to play with my Wii using the TV remote. FML
Today, my four year old got mad that he couldn't find his favorite character on the Wii. So, he decided to smash the Wii remote into my $700 LCD TV, shattering the screen. That was the only TV in the house, and the $80 service plan I bought doesn't cover accidental damage. FML
Today, while babysitting I decided to play with a children's puzzle to pass the time. Fifteen minutes in I gave up. The kid then came over and put it together in less than five. There were only ten pieces. FML
Nintendon't
Today, I had my son do some chores around the house. I was fairly proud of him for doing it himself, until he told me he accidentally washed his Nintendo in his sheets, and now it doesn’t work. I can’t afford a new one and he now refuses to do chores because, “I did and look what happened!” FML
Happy health warning!
Today, I stayed up until 2 a.m. building my daughter's birthday present because I wanted everything to be perfect when she woke up. She opened the little oven door on the toy kitchen, and the whole thing collapsed onto the floor. I found an unopened bag of screws sitting on the table. FML
Little git
Today, I gave my 7-year-old a snowglobe. I had spent the last week deconstructing it, putting an action figure of his favorite cartoon character inside, and then putting it back together. Later, I find it smashed into pieces because he wanted to "play with the toy it came with." FML
Today, I finally got a Wii Fit to try and lose some weight. I came home and set it all up, only to be told that I weigh too much to actually use it. FML

Radio Shack for special screwdrivers.

Really...likely you just need a torx bit screw driver.(star shape) There are no screws out there that companies make special for products...just a waste of money. If anything they will just use a torx screw or then use loctite in the thread to try and keep you out.

Uhh, I've had to buy all sorts of special drivers and wrenches to repair electronic devices and very few of the very small tamper resistant drivers come in the big sets. What do I know though, I only fix things.

#44, If you're going to be a pretentious asshole, you should get your facts straight. Nintendo uses tri-wing screws on the Wii, which is much rarer than Torx. Only a handful of electronics companies use these screws, and you probably won't find the screwdriver in any common electronics store... you'd have to buy it online.

Or YDI for WATCHING your child, stopping him, and not succeeding in stopping him. You can't really win here.

Maybe it isn't his child. That would suck even more for him... Even if it is his kid, maybe someone else was taking care of it.

They make those special screws so toddlers can't do anything to them. Mabey your kids a genius, you ever think of that rather than coming here and crying about your ill fortune? YDI.
