Today, I had an excellent conversation with this guy I met on a gay dating site. We really hit it off well and had a lot in common. We got to the point where he asked me for my picture. I showed it to him and he stopped responding. FML

Original poster here. Just wanted to clear up a few things: I'm really not upset about it. It kind of got to me when it happened but I got over it pretty quickly. The only thing that upset me was the fact that I told him that if he wasn't interested, I'd still like to be friends and he completely disregarded that. Ultimately, I just wanted to make my first FML, lol. #17, #18 - He had already seen two of my pictures, but a 3rd one was slightly more revealing, and that was what did me in! #13 - Ouch! That must have been AWKWARD to say the least. :/ #12 and #15 - I don't mind if you think that way. It's a free country, we're entitled to our opinions, after all. But you know what they say... usually the loudest homophobes are closet cases themselves! ;)

It has happened to me a lot too. It's more of a good thing than you realize. Most of those guys who stop talking to you after they see your picture did not care about anything you said from the start. When you find a guy who stays after he sees your picture, keep him. Remember, looks fade, no matter what. So all those guys who ignored you? In 15 years they will be nothing more than an old used potato sack that has no one to go home to at the end of the day.

at least you didn't find out he was related to you... one of my uncles once set me up on a blind date, turns out it was my cousin, his son...

I'm sorry to hear that. That has happened to me a lot of times.:-( I don't send any photos before I see theirs first or I don't even open my cam if they don't have a cam. If I were you I'd check if that photo of you is being used or not. Two of my photos were sent to yahoo groups. Thank god they could only see my back.:-))

I met my girlfriend on a dating site, and I can say that 99% of people won't respond to you if you don't have a picture. Pay the $30 a month, and stop being a cheapskate.

8 is right.
