Today, I failed on a school presentation because I was not prepared. Apparently, the fact that my computer crapped itself and started giving off smoke last period isn't a good reason for not having my presentation prepared. FML

Today, after I spent 3 days preparing for a presentation and practiced it at home. It was my turn in class, but my laptop wouldn’t connect to the projector. The teacher said, “Just explain without slides,” which erased my entire brain. I stared at my classmates in silence before blurting out, “The slides explain it better than I can.” FML
Today, my house caught fire right before I was supposed to present a school project. My teacher told me to, "just suck it up and do it anyway." FML
Today, I was giving a presentation at work but accidentally spilled water all over my laptop. I tried to dry it off, but it wouldn't turn on. I had to give the presentation awkwardly using my phone and everyone took the piss out of me and my shoddy performance. FML
Today, I had a presentation for my university class. The bus was 5 minutes late, and I ended up getting to class right on time. As I took a seat, my group was asked to present. I panicked and totally bombed my presentation. FML
Today, I had a big presentation at work and I was feeling really confident. I'd practiced it over and over and I knew it inside out. But when I got up to speak, I realized I had left my notes at home. I ended up winging it and it was a disaster. FML
Today, I had to do a presentation. No one else in my group showed up, so I had to do it alone. I was given a failing grade for presenting by myself, and therefore not being a "team player". FML
Today, I had to give presentation at work, for which I'd extensively prepared. However, as soon as I started speaking, I had a sudden panic attack and forgot everything I'd rehearsed. I stumbled through the presentation, feeling the embarrassment steadily grow in front of my colleagues. I almost passed out. FML
Today, I gave a presentation for my final on class. While I was giving the speech my shirt strap broke. I ended up flashing everyone including the teacher. At least I got an A. FML
Today, I had to do a PowerPoint presentation alone, since none of my group members showed up. I was given a big fat 0 for doing the presentation alone. It was worth 50% of my grade. FML
Today, I presented the worst seminar presentation probably in the entire history of my graduate department. I kept stumbling over questions, and overall, making an ass out of myself. I probably should leave my masters program at how thoroughly I burned myself. FML

No, it's not a good reason. It's not a bad reason either, actually it isn't a reason at all. If you don't have a working computer, you FIND one. At one of your friends, parents, parent's work, internet cafe (if those still exist), neighbor etc. etc. You always have to struggle to get the best results, nothing will come to you out of the blue. Even to win the lottery requires you to get your ass up and go buy a ticket. It's called life. WELCOME !!!

With the way this is worded I can't tell if: a) You had the chance to do this presentation at home and it was your home computer that broke b) You had the chance to do it at home but left it too late and it was a school computer that broke c) You were to make and present it within the hour of your class and the computer broke d) You had made it and the computer you were supposed to be presenting on broke for the first 3 I'd say YDI because you always, always, always make backups of important work but if its the last one then yeah it'd be FYL

YDI. Should have had it finished by the period before, or at least been very close to it. At my school you can't get extensions for any computer issues unless you can't access a computer at all for an extended period of time, and you give advanced notice. You are also supposed to back up your work in at least 2 different places.
