Today, after spending over two hours cleaning my kitchen from top to bottom, my 5-year-old then runs in, yells, “Snowstorm!” and throws a bag of flour all over the floor. FML

Halloween

A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.

Time to put him up for adoption

I suppose it's safe to say that you don't wanna build a snowman?

That's just what kids do, Unfortunately! !

I'd make him clean up the mess he made. Teach him that life has consequences

Today, this is FML. I feel for you and know how much this totally sucks. And yet there will come a day when you miss these sorts of stories fondly.

Seriously, though. YOU WERE CLEANING THE KITCHEN AND THEY WEIGH LIKE 5 LBS. How did he get it without you noticing?

That's what kids do, really. You turn your head, and they are already wreaking havoc.

K but thats pretty funny. Make him help you clean it up though. It will probably take just as long, but it will help him understand the consequence of making a mess.

Hopefully you kept the receipt, though five years might be too late for a return...

This is a situation where a rumba would come in handy

Pro tip: don't have kids

Why bother?! 6 months later you have to clean again anyway!

how do things like this happen? I wouldn't have dared a trick like that when I was 5, I wasn't even allowed to play in mud (which makes a good lot of sense to me now). kids are treated too softly these days, gotta learn respect early on

dangit i accidentally disliked your comment. but i agree wholeheartedly
