Smoking is cool, and you know it
Today, after a very heartfelt conversation with my mother, I promised her that I'd quit smoking. I walked in on her smoking my cigarettes an hour later. Her excuse was that she didn't want my money to have gone to waste. FML

The promise didn't include her not smoking. But she should still set the example.

Sounds like something out of a bad sitcom. Now we just need a shitty laugh-track to make everything more absurd. Come on, guys, join with me. (HAHahahahaha HAah ahahha aahaa)

That's a bit of a bitch move, for sure, but while she's being a total jerk about it, at least you know she cares about your health, if not her own. Personally, I'd make her pay back the money. Generally, that's a common punishment for thieves. :P

Tell your mom to butt out, and that the promise is now up in smokes. She didn't get very tar with her setting an example. I would have been puffed off too.

Dont do it for her, do it for your own good. Goodluck!

She does have a point. It's a terrible excuse but makes sense.

I did the same thing with my mothers sweets when she decided to go on a diet. It was not appreciated.

That's a terrible excuse of her, but at least you're willing to give up on smoking. Good luck to you, OP :)

Maybe she didn't inhale and just wanted to see if she could do those smoke ring tricks. I don't smoke and did that a few times for fun. (:

Oppertunist I would say. If life gives you lemons... I mean if life gives you smokes, smoke'em

That's how parents are they get you to quit but they won't quit them self.
