Today, while helping a child through a tantrum, I was kicked and my hand broke. The bone is completely in half and fixing it will require plates, screws, and surgery along with months of recovery. Another day on the job. FML

Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today I ran across the street to help a woman who had fallen off her bicycle. While running, I tripped and broke my arm. Surgery is needed. FML
Today, during my second shift back at work after missing four weeks for knee surgery, I stabbed myself in the hand and now need three weeks off for that surgery. Just as I'm up for a promotion. FML
Today, the day after saying that I'd never broken a bone, I snapped my fibula in half. FML
Today, my doctor called and asked me when I could have my broken hand x-rayed again. I said the ER staff had told me it was a bad sprain over two weeks ago. I'm now in a full cast, and have to have my partially healed bones re-broken. There goes my summer. FML
Today, I kicked my coffee table while barefoot, got an X-ray, and I’d cracked the bone. Got home, kicked the exact same table with the exact same toe, got another X-ray, the crack is now a full-on break. What a day. FML
Today, I discovered that the pain I've had for the past couple of weeks was actually due to a broken collar bone. Now work won't pay for the treatment I need because I continued to work despite the pain. FML
Today, I was changing a flat tire on my car when it fell off the jack and crushed my hand. After ripping my hand free and waiting 2 hours for AAA, I get to go find out if my hand is broken. FML
Today, I broke my fifth bone in three years. While I'd like say that they've all been scary, athletic injuries, most have been from attempting to do things as mundane as walking. FML
Today, at 28 years-old, I broke the first ever bone in my body. I broke a metacarpal in my hand by going down an inflatable waterside at a children's birthday party. FML
Today, I fell down the stairs, breaking my foot and tendons. It was the first time I had ever broken anything, and the doctor said that it's the most complicated break he'd ever seen. It's too complicated to operate. Now I'm stuck in a wheelchair for god knows how long. FML

I think there’s gotta be someone, whether work or the parents, that can at least partially pay for the expenses.

IMO the best way to deal with a tantruming child is to let them have at it. Just make sure they don’t hurt themselves or someone else. A little child having a tantrum is impossible to reason with.

We'd just spray them with a hose stop's those little bastards tantrums instantly 😈 I used to work in last resort houses for people to violent to be in a mental institute and not mentally competent enough to be in prison or youth facility, they can be violent and could throw Tantrums for days on end we weren't allowed to physically restrain so extreme distraction was used to stop their Tantrums 😏

Sue the brat's parents. There was a lawsuit once where a woman's toddler was running around, she tripped over said toddler, and sued the store she was in. And I think she won, too. Surely you can sue for this.
