Today, I went to see the mechanic who'd just serviced my car, because it was still leaking cooling fluid. I started to explain the problem, but he stopped me and asked if I'd had the AC on. I said yes. He smiled and said lots people have this "problem" in summer. Did you know the AC releases fluid when you turn it off? I didn't. FML

Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today, I took my car in because the AC had stopped working. The mechanic turned it on, pressed one button, and cold air started blasting. I'd seemingly switched it to heat three months ago. FML
Today, a customer came in complaining about a weird noise in her car. I took it for a quick test drive, heard nothing, then told her it was probably nothing serious. The second I pulled back into the lot, the hood popped open because I hadn’t latched it properly after checking the fluids. FML
Today, I took my car in because of a strange rattling noise. The mechanic charged me nothing, just handed me back my reusable water bottle that had been rolling around under the passenger seat for three months. FML
Today, I climbed into my junky old car and was pleasantly surprised that the AC came on. I patted the dash and said, "Thanks, buddy." Ten minutes later, as I was tearing down the highway, the engine threw a rod. FML
Today, I took a quick nap in my car during my lunch break. I'd set an alarm but forgot to turn my car off, having switched the AC on due to the blistering heat. The cool air lulled me to sleep. When I woke up, my boss was knocking on my window. Apparently, I'd knocked the car into neutral and it had rolled into his parking spot. FML
Today, I pulled over to help a girl with her car. I thought my limited mechanic skills would help look like a hero. She only needed her coolant cap unscrewed. With top down, shirt off, I was confident as I got out of my car. 10 minutes later I left because I couldn't unscrew the f***ing thing. FML
Today, as I was ringing in a customer, I noticed that the Febreeze spray can was wet. Noticing this, I sniffed my hands because they had got wet, and said to the customer, "Oh, the can is leaking… want to go get another one?" He then said, "No it's OK, I just sweat a lot." FML
Today, my 25-year-old daughter, who normally doesn't drive, was out using the family car when she came back annoyed and emotional over the "stupid" cars heating being broken. She said no matter how high she turned it up it was still blowing cold air. I checked and it was set to A/C the entire time. FML
Today, the AC broke in the car I bought brand new last August. My 3.5-year-old hates wind, even from the sunroof being open, and there's no fix for the "manufacturing defect" so far. FML
Today, I couldn't get my car hood to open to check the fluids. A few miles down the highway, though, it popped right open. FML

yep. it's not uncommon to see massive pools of "fluid" which is just water dripping off of the coils. one time I had a truck with some sort of defect, and that water found its way into the cab instead of dripping onto the ground.

Yes. But that's because I'm generally broke and so I Google things to see if a handy friend can help in exchange for a beer or if I need an actual $100/hr mechanic.

Cooling fluid? The refrigerant in A/C systems is a gas at atmospheric pressure. If it leaked, it would evaporate and you’d never see it. What you’re seeing is condensed water vapor from the air.

you can make it come out of the can as a liquid, but even if you do, it boils away very fast, just about as fast as it comes out.

Engine coolant is colored (usually greenish), while ac condensate is just water, and dribbles out until all gone. Never hurts to learn how things work.
